Health insurance – civilized and accepted in developed European countries system of health care provision providing payment of medical services in the occurrence of an insured event. After once using qualitative insurance service of health insurance policy, one will to the full extent realize the efficiency of the given kind of insurance protection.
VHI becomes more and more demanded also in Ukraine. Today, despite difficult consequences of financial crisis for the insurance market, both heads and employees are interested in acquisition of this product. Different categories of clients have different motivation. Top managers wish to create an attractive social package, employees - to get a qualitative health care with high level of service. From the very beginning of the activity, IC "NOVA" paid particular attention to development of VHI. Being reputable player at this market, the company has a dynamic forward-looking management, collected medical statistics, and a database on health care entities and provided medical services. It is very important that there are qualified experts among employees of the company developing this direction, which are capable to check adequately the work of clinics. Accurate following the principle of customer-oriented approach for the purpose of creation of system of long-term partnership relations both with health care entities and with clients - is the necessary condition of development of medical insurance in IC "NOVA". IC "NOVA" cooperates with health care entities having advanced treatment and diagnostic base which level provides a state-of-the-art equipment and use of innovative methods of care. Such approach to a choice of medical services providers enables to offer to clients the broad list of treatment and diagnostic services and qualified high quality health care. IC "NOVA" takes a balanced approach to VHI services cost with account of the actual market situation. Proposed to legal entities products are developed on the basis of client’s demand analysis. Introducing VHI programs, the company individually elaborates the optimum program of insurance. In 2010 IC "NOVA" collected insurance payments under VHI contracts in the amount of UAH 10,938.3 thousand. For the accounting year the number of insured events has made about 2.5 thousand. According to Management of health insurance of OJSC "Insurance Company "NOVA", in 2010 the 75 % of corporative clients of the company more often chose programs "Classic" and "Lux+" of voluntary health insurance. The programs include a complete set of medical services with twenty-four-hour assistance of doctors-coordinators. Under these programs ambulatory care, acute care, dental service, and also hospital treatment (if necessary) are provided. Such additional options, as provision of vitaminic drugs and covering of expenses for homeopathic medicines were also popular. For 2010 the programs were developed and introduced which in a short space of time became the called-for. This is "package of measures for stabilization of immune system and chronic fatigue syndrome" and special medical program of oncological diseases prevention. The competitive advantage of the company is its own assistance service. Today the Assistance centre of IC "NOVA" is a team of professionals which promptly provides twenty-four-hour medical care, and also the control and monitoring of services quality. Due to special software, proper distribution of load between doctors and dedicated telephone lines, a doctor-coordinator can give a proper attention to each insurant. As a whole, positive results of activity of IC "NOVA" in the area of VHI are the evidence of comprehensive approach to creation of the given direction. The main thing for the company is to offer such products and services which create background for mutually advantageous cooperation with partners and clients on continuing basis.
